Royal Philips Electronics unveiled what analysts called an “inspiring” new plan, with hard hitting aims and a general reorganization of its sectors. Within the “Vision 2010″ plan, Philips expects to more than double its EBITA per share by 2010 and simplify its organizational structure into three sectors to boost profitability and become a “market-driven … global leader in its fields.” The company’s three new sectors, Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle, are looking into acquisitions, said Philips CEO Gerard Kleisterlee.
