Motorola Hands Over Embedded Comm Unit for $350M
Electrical products maker Emerson Electric and handset maker Motorola said Friday that Emerson agreed to pay $350 million in cash for Motorola’s embedded communications computing business. Embedded computing technology is used to control machines or distant computer systems and manage information. The business’s embedded computing products and services are used by communication infrastructure and equipment makers for telecommunications, medical imaging and military applications, among others.
