Nortel sees Q3 revenue fall to USD 2.71 bln

(TP) Nortel Networks had USD 2.71 billion revenue in Q3 2007, down 8 percent year-over-year from USD 2.93 billion. Excluding the impact of the UMTS Access divestiture, revenue decreased by 2 percent. Orders were USD 2.38 billion, up 2 percent. Gross margin was 43 percent, up 460 basis points year over year. Operating margin was 5 percent, up 277 basis points. Net earnings were USD 27 million, vs a USD 63 million loss. Cash balance at end-Q3 was USD 3.13 billion. Cash flow used in operations was USD 139 million.
