$190M Deal Brightens SunPower’s Prospects

Published November 28th, 2007

SunPower has secured $190 million in financing from Morgan Stanley to fund solar-power installations for commercial and public agencies under its SunPower Access program, the company said Wednesday. The Access program allows entities to purchase solar electricity generated by the systems through a long-term agreement instead of purchasing the systems to be installed. The systems have a projected life of more than 25 years, depending on site location and other variables.
