Sprint to offer MySpace Mobile access in 2008

(TP) US mobile network Sprint Nextel and online social network MySpace have announced a mobile internet alliance. Sprint Nextel will connect to the free MySpace Mobile website when it officially launches in early-2008. There will be additional charge to Sprint data subscribers for this service. Sprint customers with enabled handsets will be able to access MySpace Mobile on their phones without having to type a URL address. MySpace Mobile is currently in beta and has registered over one million unique visitors since its release in September. Meanwhile, Sprint customers will also be able to directly link to other top mobile websites from MySpace parent Fox Interactive Media (FIM), including IGN, FOXSports.com on MSN, RottenTomatoes, AskMen, its network of MyFOX local affiliates and Photobucket. Sprint and Fox have been mobile content distribution partners since 2002.
