(TP) The government of Ghana has rejected all of the bids it received for the privatisation of the local incumbent, Ghana Telecom. According to Portuguese daily Jornal de Negocios, Portugal Telecom had been very confident in a positive outcome and was competing directly against France Telecom. Announcing the news, Ghana’s Information Minister, Oboshe Sai-Cofie, stressed that the “privatisation process continues” and that the “offers received so far have not responded to the expectations of the government”.
