Hostile Offer For Computer Services Unit

Computer Associates International Inc. has intensified its pursuit of the Computer Sciences Corporation, filing a formal tender offer to buy its stock for $108 a share in cash.

Last Wednesday, Computer Associates, a software company in Islandia, N.Y., announced its interest in purchasing Computer Sciences and said that it was going public with its offer because private negotiations had broken down over the price.
